In early summer, Melchsee-Frutt is known for its impressive fauna and flora. The deep blue, trout-filled mountain lakes Melchsee, Tannensee, and Blausee not only captivate passionate anglers but also those looking to escape the valley's heat.
A sporty adventure awaits at the sport climbing garden in the striking Boni rock band. Very popular with young visitors is the "Fruttli-Weg". Fruttli and his animal friends teach children, in a playful way, about marmots and encourage them to be active. On the educational trail, various tasks can be solved and mastered with the "Fruttli-Pass," making family time a fun adventure.
The high-altitude hike from Hasliberg to Melchsee-Frutt to Engelberg is one of the great hiking classics. Especially popular is the six-hour Four-Lakes Hike from Melchsee-Frutt via Tannalp, Engstlenalp, Jochpass, and Trübsee to Engelberg. Chairlifts and mountain railways allow for easy shortcuts along the trail.
