Magic Pass takes action Discover the Enjoy the Ride movement
For its 10th anniversary season, Magic Pass is taking a decisive step forward for the climate. As the lead partner of the winter "Enjoy the Ride" campaign launched by Protect Our Winters (POW) Switzerland, we are joining forces to rethink how we travel to the peaks.
The reality: Every journey counts
Did you know that over 50% of the carbon footprint of a day in the mountains comes from the journey to and from the resort? In Switzerland, transport accounts for nearly 42% of overall domestic emissions, and leisure travel makes up a substantial portion of that figure. Shorter winters, shrinking glaciers, and unpredictable snowfall affect all of us who spend time outdoors. How we choose to travel to the slopes represents the single most powerful lever we have to take meaningful action.
The solution: Magic Travel meets «Enjoy the Ride»
Our shared goal with POW is clear: prove that reaching the mountains sustainably is practical, comfortable, and keeps the outdoor experience front and centre. By choosing public transport over driving alone in a petrol or diesel car, you can cut your travel emissions by up to 91%.
To support this shift, we created Magic Travel. With 5 public transport day trips integrated directly into your Magic Pass subscription, we provide everyone using our mountain lifts with a seamless, cost-effective, and low-carbon travel alternative.
The community challenge: 100,000 kilometres for Alpine winters
Starting in late November, take part in the collective Mobility Community Challenge. Our shared ambition: travel a combined 100,000 kilometres using sustainable transport modes, whether by train, postal bus, carpool, or electric vehicle. Every low-carbon kilometre logged helps reach the target and enters you into draws for exclusive prizes throughout the season.
Kick-Off event: Heading Together to Saas-Fee
Be part of the campaign's official kick-off and travel up to the mountains alongside fellow riders and outdoor enthusiasts. It is the perfect opportunity to activate your very first Magic Travel credit.
