The small ski area of Marbachegg in the canton of Lucerne is particularly popular with families but is also very much liked by skiers of all abilities.
The sunny resort offers 10 kilometres of groomed ski runs up to 1,500 metres, served by two lifts.
It also offers a variety of winter hiking trails and a snowshoe trail.
A skilift for beginners is located in the village, right next to the start of the ski lifts.
